    • Acrylic teeth

    If the patient has acrylic teeth then they wait till the time healing is completed as it takes time to get adjusted. If the food is chewy or hard it the acrylic teeth will break.

    • Gaps

    The gum shape will change slightly during the healing, and small gaps can be created. You should avoid the food items like popcorn as they can get stuck easily & it even increases the chances of infection. Once the implants are fused to the jawbone, they are consistent, and the problem of gaps will not be there.

     

    Taking proper oral hygiene

    First 4 weeks

    After the surgery, use a toothbrush with soft bristles and brush your teeth 2 times a day. Rinse your mouth with salt water, and you should do it after every meal.

     

    The first month after the healing

    By this time you can stop the use of saltwater. You can even use the WaterPik, and its pressure should below. Make sure that you increase the pressure but it should be comfortable to deal with. The water pressure should be applied between the gum tissue & hybrids along with the side & back of the hybrid. Make sure you do it once every day.
