- Healing implants
You should avoid chewy food like steak or food which needs force to bite. If you eat apples it will affect the healing process of implants. You need to give the implant the time to fuse to the jawbone, and this way it can manage the pressure easily.
- Acrylic teeth
If the patient has acrylic teeth then they wait till the time healing is completed as it takes time to get adjusted. If the food is chewy or hard it the acrylic teeth will break.
- Gaps
The gum shape will change slightly during the healing, and small gaps can be created. You should avoid the food items like popcorn as they can get stuck easily & it even increases the chances of infection. Once the implants are fused to the jawbone, they are consistent, and the problem of gaps will not be there.
